Introduction to Reporting Data

Reports enable users to produce meaningful insights and comparisons of locations and whole Networks. In making these reports users can build detailed analyses that can then be exported from the system for further analyses and sharing.

There are five main reporting functions that can be performed within the System:

  • Site Profile Report - Profile and compare one or more locations in detail.

  • Rank Report - Profile and analyse all locations within a Network on up to 200 data pack variables, with extended functionality to filter locations and perform scatter plots.

  • Footprint Report - Resolve all location Trade Areas into an overall Network Trade Area (Served Market Footprint).

  • Lookalikes Report - Data mine a Network to find locations that are most similar to a selected subject location.

  • Interactions Report - Analyse and assess location interaction through their Trade Area overlaps and estimate Location Demand based on the share of a base demand layer.

How is a Report Structured? - REPORT TAB

After creating a report users will be taken to the REPORT Tab.

Each of these Report structures will be different depending on the report created, however the majority follow a set structure:

  1. Report Tabs - This enables users to cycle through the relevant Tabs for their analysis. The MAP Tab can be used for visualising a reports selection of Locations. For rank reports, the PLOT tab is available to perform simple scatter plot analysis of locations on selected data pack variables.

  2. Back button - Default back to the Create New Report menu. This refreshes all of the inputs and allows users to create a new report. This will not delete the report, it can still be accessible in the “Report Libraryread more here.

  3. Report Menu - Depending on which report is used this will enable different actions to be taken on a report. It additionally enables users to export data from the report in an excel format for later analysis.

  4. Display Options - Customise and filter the locations used in the report.
