Details: Census Areas
The architecture of the Explorer system uses Census Areas as building blocks to structure all core features, allowing users to view and interact with data from both a tabulated and geographic perspective.
What are Census Areas?
Internationally, Census Data is aggregated from individual households into areas or geographic units in order to distribute information while maintaining privacy. The number of households within these Census Areas varies internationally, as does the definitions. Explorer is built using the smallest unit that Census Data is comprehensively provided at.
